Archbishop Bernard Moras celebrates Mass at St. Sebastian’s Chapel, MEG Centre, Bengaluru.

The MEG is an Army Training Base in Bangalore that has a quite number of Catholics who have a great devotion to St. Sebastian. There is a Chapel dedicated to this Saint and Members of St. Sebastian Committee celebrate the Patronal Feast every year in a very grand scale. This chapel comes under St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral Parish.
On 20th January, 2016, His Grace the Archbishop along with Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Swamy and other priests celebrated the Feast Day Mass in a very grand scale. The salient feature of this celebration was that many non-Catholic and non-Christian Officers and Jawans, and people attended this Mass and the celebration. In his homily His Grace mentioned: “As we believe in one God, we need to live with one mind and heart to experience God’s eternal love. Today many people don’t believe in God and live by placing their trust only in the material things. We need God, his protection and blessings. It is our responsibility to deepen our own spirituality and instill this spiritual value in the hearts of our fellow beings. We should also grow in spirituality to become dedicated soldiers of God, and his instruments of harmony and unity in the world.”
