Mass & New Station of the cross at Annammabetta, Utharahalli 2016
Every fifth Sunday of the Lenten Season Catholic faithful from all over the Archdiocese gather at Annammabetta to participate in the Eucharistic Celebration and station of the cross. Even this year thousands of catholic faithful from our Archdiocese and also from other diocese gathered for the celebration. This year fifth Lenten Sunday was on 13th March 2016 and since this year being a special year for the faithful as the mother church opened up the door of mercy by inaugurating Jubilee year of Mercy. On this year of mercy His Grace Most Rev Dr Bernard Moras the Archbishop of Bangalore inaugurated and blessed new station of cross, which was a long standing demand of the faithful and also Celebrated a thanksgiving mass in Kannada and Tamil for the thousands of faithful with Vicar general Msgr.C Francis and Rev.Fr.A.S.Anthony Swamy who were inchange for the annammabetta celebration committee. The program was well organised with the coordination of Rev.Fr.JayaRaj the Parish Priest of Utharahalli Parish. After the Mass the faithful participated in the newly blessed station of the cross conducted in all the three languages, English, Tamil and Kannada. The Stations were through the mountain many participated in that rising temperature as a sign of penance with full satisfaction.
