“Become Agents of Light” Archbishop tells Catholic Colleges

Bengaluru, October 29: “Even as India celebrates the ‘festival of lights’ (diwali) it is good to remind ourselves as Catholics that we too are called to be agents of the light in the footsteps of Jesus the Light of the World and so take stock of how our Catholic colleges are shaping their students to become individual agents of light in society.  Like the sower who sowed seeds, institutional heads most sow seeds of positive inspiration in the minds of students”  Archbishop Bernard Moras told participants of the prestigious Association of Catholic Colleges in India (estd 1951) gathered under the name of the Xavier Board of Higher Education.

The Prelate was addressing 29 special delegates representing 340 Catholic colleges from 8 regions of the country during the inaugural mass at Central Hall in the Christ University Campus, Bengaluru. At the two-day meeting that will end October 30, Fr. Leslie Moras, principal St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru and Dr Fr Thomas C Mathew, CMI  will be addressing the delegates.
