“Listen to the voice of God to be blessed” Archbishop exhorts congregation at New Year Mass

Bengaluru, Jan 01: At the New Year Vigil service, Archbishop Dr. Bernard Moras exhorted the Faithful at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral to “Listen to the voice of God to receive His blessings”.  He also urged the Faithful to “pray for Peace in the world “.  Addressing the congregation at the 12pm mass on 31st December and the 9.45 am mass on January 1st, the Prelate said “it is important that we focus our attention on Our Blessed Mother Mary whose feast opens the new year for us” and to be “ardent in hope and consistent in praying for Peace”.img_20170101_112327774_hdr1

Several children who bought raffle tickets were delighted to have their names called out as ‘prize winners’ by the Archbishop who picked from the lot at the end of the Holy Mass.  The Archbishop also presided over the Adoration on 31st December before Mass while parishioner Thomas D’souza lead the gathering in thanking God and our Blessed Mother for all the blessings received in the year that went by.
