Archbishop Dr. Bernard Moras erected St. Thomas Church (sub-station of St.Paul the Hermit Chruch, V.Naganahalli) as a full-fledged parish with Fr. Naveen Kumar assuming office as ‘priest-in-charge’ from January 1st 2017. The new parish is also carved out of St.James Church Marianpalaya, St.Jude’s Church R.T Nagar. The Archbishop thanked Fr. Naveen Kumar for “readily and willingly accepting” to pastor the parish.

Fr. Naveen Kumar in turn espoused his faith in “the pastoral zeal” of the Archbishop and promised to do his best in pasturing the newly erected parish.  The Archbishop also compared the birth of a new parish as the joy of having a new child in the family and exhorted the Faithful “to help the growth of the parish with devotions and adoration to the Blessed Sacrament”. Fr. Martin Kumar, Fr. Christopher Gerard White and Dn. Rayappa were also thanked for catering to the pastoral needs of the sub-station.
