“Bring more children to portals of schools” Archbishop tells teachers

Bengaluru, Jan 10: In an address to students and teachers at St. Judes Church in Naganpalaya (formerly a sub-station of Ascension Church) Archbishop Dr. Bernard Moras, known for his love for the poor, exhorted teachers “bring at least 5 students to join the school”. The Prelate who heads an Archdiocese in the South Indian City, Bengaluru of over of over 4 million Roman Catholics was emphasizing on the need to educate children and help them gain access to quality education. The Archbishop who was addressing a gathering of 100 people had blessed the foundation stone for a new presbytery which was a long felt need.
The school which has a student populace of 85 renders support to several poor in the locality.  Fr. Pravin, the parish Priest and also Correspondent of the Church expressed much gratitude to the Archbishop for his initiatives and interest in considering the needs of the poor, especially in the field of education. Secretary to the Archbishop Fr. Paneer Selva Kumar and a religious Priest Fr. John Paul joined in felicitating the Archbishop.
