“Children, you have all the facility to study in English which your parents were denied” Archbishop tells the Students

Bengaluru, Jan 19: “Our School empowers the students to lead their life and to come up in life. We are here to light up the world with the sparks of knowledge” Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras told a gathering of over 230 students at the Annual day celebration of Lourdes Public School on Friday 19th January at 4.30 p.m. in Ramanagara. The  Annual Day celebration termed as `Aurora 2017` which means the day break off, the dawn. The celebration witnessed the presence of Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, the president of Archdiocesan Board of Education (ABE), Founder and patron of Lourdes Public school was cordially welcomed by Rev Fr John Rose the Secretary of ABE.

The school has been a beacon of hope since 2013 and was established under the ABE. It was the dream came true for His grace Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, as it was his long cherished desire to set up an educational instiutuion in the district of Ramanagara. Being a renowned Educationalist and a Visionary with a vast experience in the field of education, Archbishop really felt the need to provide a quality and affordable education to the Children in and around Ramanagara district. Hence with a missionary zeal born out of love towards the poor and the underprivileged his grace stepped forward and became a real Architect and the founder of the school. The school caters, the academic need of children hailing from economically weaker sections of society.

Among many guests and invitees present was Fr. Joseph Mathias Parish Priest of the Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ramanagara, Fr. Micheal y. Former Manager and Correspondent, Fr. John Rose Manager and correspondent and Secretary of ABE, Fr. Shanth Kumar Assistant Secretary of ABE, Sr. Jessy Thomas MSST Headmistress of the school, Sr. Steniya Antony MSST Superior of Lourde Mathe Convent at Ramanagara, Deputy Superindent of Police of Ramanagara Subdivision Mr. M.K. Thammaiah, were also felicitated.

The Archbishop was felicitated and applauded for his keen interest and contribution to the field of education in the Archdiocese and his particular interest and success in providing education for thousands of poor children through the Archdiocesan educational institutions. During the program, the Awards like Prathibha Karanchi were distributed to the excelled student.

Mrs. Francina, a staff secretary of the school thanked the Archbishop for his valuable presence and sharing his inspiring thoughts with the Students. The program was a memorable and everyone cherished the event.
