Balayesu Vidyalaya Girl Child Scholarship
Balayesu Vidyalaya Girl Child Scholarship was proudly honoured to twenty two girl Children of Balayesu Vidyalaya on 21 August 2017 by His grace Most. Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras.
It is a unique programme started this Year in the institution keeping in mind the immediate attention for upliftment of the girls children. It is said , ‘You educate a man you educate an individual but if you educate a woman you educate a family and consequently the nation”. Girls’ education has such immense transformation power that will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large.’ It has an astounding effect on not only her quality of life but on her future family’s as well.
The core purpose of the scheme is to motivate aspiring students, recognize, promote and assist meritorious girl children belonging to minority communities to continue their education without financial hindrances.
On 21st of August 2017, we the family of Balayesu Vidyalaya, Viveknagar, Bangalore recognized and granted scholarship to 22 of our girl children. Twenty two students from standard I to X and two of our old students doing their 1st PUC were awarded with Rs. 3000 and Rs. 5000 respectively for their over all performance during the academic year 2016-17. This programme will continue every year. Rev. Dr . Bernand Moras, the Archbishop of Bangalore presided over the ceremony to honour the privileged children. Thanks to Mr. Gautham Sinha, the devouty of Infant Jesus for facilitating this opportunity in Honour of his beloved parents Mr. U.P Sinha and Mrs. Sandhya Sinha and thanks Fr. John Sudeep, the Manager and Correspondent. The Archbishop Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras while appreciating Mr. Gautham Sinha and Fr. John Sudeep and the school staff said , “ The Archdiocese would be happy to honour every girl child and even Boy child if financial constraints are disabled”. He further expressed that “every girl child is precious and are the true builders of the society’.
Miss. Anto Swetha of Std. VI, one of the awardees proudly said, “give us chance we will prove that we are a blessing for the family and society; we will bring prosperity to the world; We will manifest that we are the pillars and future of the society”. Finally, while thanking everyone for identifying them said, “We will be productive to what we have received today and continue to contribute to multiply education and moral values in our vicinities and further to the whole world.”
