Children’s Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Fatima

Fatima Centenary Celebration is incomplete without children coming together, think about the Apparition and the messages of our lady of Fatima and to thank our blessed Mother for her love and concern that she showed humanity through the Seers Sr. Lucy, St. Jacinta and St. Francisco but also for the children of our time says Fr. Joseph Susainathan, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hoskote who organized “Children’s Pilgrimage” in his Parish on 10th September 2017.

It was indeed a day dedicated for the children of our Archdiocese of Bangalore. 553 Children had gathered from several Parishes both from city and rural Parishes. The day was spent in group activities organized by the Kristu Jyothi College (Salesian Brothers) who reminded the children the messages of our Lady of Fatima through skilled games and sessions. The video show on the history of the Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima was shown to the Children after which they all had the fellowship meal.

At 2.00 pm the children gathered in the Church for prayers and confession and at 3.00 pm our beloved Archbishop Most. Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras celebrated the Holy Mass for the children. He made his homily very simple and lively encouraging the children to pray the Rosary everyday and exhorted them to grow as children pleasing to God and Mother Mary.

After the Holy Mass Archbishop prayed Rosary along with the children and after that all gathered around the flag post, the Archbishop Most. Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras blessed and hoisted the “Fatima Centenary Jubilee Flag”. The procession was concluded by the release of the Rosary Balloons by the Archbishop.
