Celebration of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi and International Day of Non-Violence through Music and Dance

1st October 2017 : Most. Rev Dr.Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore, participated in the Celebration of the Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi, and International Day of Non-Violence through Music and Dance, on the 1st of October 2017, at 6:00 pm, at Glass House, Raj Bhavan, Bangaluru.

This celebration was jointly organized by Doordarshan,Bangaluru, Sarvodhaya International Trust Karnataka Chapter, Raj Bhavan Bangaluru, Department of  Kannada and Culture Government of Karnataka, Departmnet of Public Relations, Government of Karnataka.

The Honorable  Governor of Karnataka, Shri Vajubhai Vala wished and welcomed the Archbishop in the presence Shri Shri Shanthaveera Mahaswamiji, Kolada Mata Mahasamsthana, Smt Chinnamma Hallikere, Freedom Fighter, SampathRaj the Mayor of Bangaluru etc. The program started with the National Anthem and Floral Tribute to the Father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi by the Honorable  Governor of Karnataka, Shri Vajubhai Vala, Most. Rev Dr.Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore, Shri Prahjot Singh Bali, the president of Gurusigh Sabha, Bengaluru, Shri Ananda Bhantheji, Mahabodhi Society, Bangaluru.

The entire celebration was focused on the two important aspects namely prayer services by different religious leaders and cultural program performed by the students from the neighboring countries of India ( Bangladesh, Srilanka etc) along with the students of various Schools and Colleges of Bangaluru. The program ended up with the  favorite hymns of Mahatma Gandhi by the Students of Frank Antony School.
