Archbishop Bernard Moras Blessed and Inaugurated the Newly built Presbytery for Holy Family Church.

Holy Family church, which began in 1965 at ITI grounds as a small catholic community having mass in open air.  It was in 1975 that the present Holy Family church was erected in Ramamurthy nagar. The then parish priests had their presbytery behind the church. Later, the parish got a new presbytery.  But during heavy rains the presbytery used to get flooded and it was a cause for concern always. Our Archbishop Rev Bernard Moras initiated to build a new presbytery, but it had its own hurdles. Finally in January 2017, it was decided and the foundation for the new presbytery was commenced. The long awaited presbytery became a reality. Archbishop Bernard Moras blessed and inaugurated the newly built presbytery on January 8th 2018 amidst of priests, nuns and parishioners. Archbishop in his address said that a parish needs a nice quarters for the priest to stay and work for the parish. The prelate also added that “presbytery is the part and parcel of a parish and it’s the duty of the parishioners for the building and up-keep of the presbytery’. Parish priest Fr.Amarnath thanked Archbishop for giving the parish with such a beautiful mansion like house, which has facilities for parish office, parish priest and assistant priest’s office and residence, a meeting room, guest rooms, a dining, kitchen and utility facility. Later, Fr Amar along with his parish council members felicitated and thanked Archbishop Most Rev.Bernard Moras, the finance administrator Fr. Martin Kumar, the project manager Mr. John Rosario, the Architect Mr. John Furtado, the contractor Mr. Anthony and other priests gathered.
