A Report on the Annual Day Celebration

A Unit of Archdiocesan Board of Education, Bangalore

Lourdes Public School celebrated its 5^th Annual Day celebration on 19^th January 2018 at our school premises. It was presided by the chief guest His Grace Most Rev.Dr.Bernard Moras, the Archbishop of Bangalore, and the President of   Archdiocesan Board of Education. The other dignitaries present were Rev.Fr.John Rose, the Secretary of ABE and the Manager and Correspondent of Lourdes public School,  Rev.Mother Shanthy Antony,the Mother General of Missionary Sisters of St.Therese,Kerala, Shri. B.N Mari Gowda the B.E.O of  Ramanagara,Shri.B Ramesh,the Superintend of Police, Ramanagara, Rev. Fr. Joseph   Mathias, the Parish Priest of  Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

The function started at 4.30 pm with a beautiful welcome Dance followed by the prayer dance. Students,Silvester Styris,Jashwanth.Y, Safiya, from std.V and Abhinav Chandra from std. IV, and Dhushyanth Rao from std. III were presented the Annual Report of the school with Power Point Presentation. Rev.Fr.John Rose, the Secretary of ABE and the Manager and Correspondent of Lourdes public School, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries present.

The chief  Guest His Grace Most Rev.Dr.Bernard Moras, had been released the first school Annual of the school ,SAPPHIRE 2017-18,and handed over to Rev.Fr.John Rose,the Manger and Correspondent of the school. His Grace addressed the gathering with much enthusiasm and acknowledged the hard work of the sisters,teachers and students,and he had mentioned  the supreme goal of  the school in imparting education.Then His Grace  appreciated the student ,who was anchoring the function. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas. The parents were much impressed,when they were called for accompanying the awardee  students to receive the awards.

Rev.Mother .Shanthy Antony,and Shri. B.N Mari Gowda the B.E.O of  Ramanagara  also addressed the gathering and appreciated the Lourdites family.Head Mistress Rev.Sr.Jessy Thomas proposed vote of thanks, Rev.Fr.John Rose honoured the Chief Guest.The other dignitaries were honoured by His Grace Most Rev.Dr. Bernard Moras.

The one–hour long Cultural Show held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show culminated.

The programme ended at 8.45 pm with a National Programme.
