Archbishop Rev Dr. Bernard Moras Celebrated Holy Mass on Ash Wednesday, for the Members of Bangalore Catholic Charismatic Renewal Service
14th February 2018: BCCRS has been conducting 24 hours prayer for 4o days for the past seven year. The Sisters of St. Brigitta, Brunton road were so kind to open their chapel for this great event for the last seven years. This year the venue is shifted to the BCCRS chapel in the Maria Niketan School grounds, Wheeler Road Extension, St. Thomas Town, Dacosta Layout.
As usual, the prayer program was inaugurated with celebration of Holy Eucharist by Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore on Ash Wednesday at Ascension Church. The Holy Eucharist was concelebrated by:

The inaugural mass was well attended with over 500 faithful assembling. At the sermon, the Archbishop spoke about the season of lent, the need for “coming back”, doing works of mercy among the poor and needy and specifically faith formation of the youth and laity. Prayer of the faithful was made in five languages. The solemn celebration was accompanied by glorious choir of New Life in Jesus prayer group of the Ascension Church.
After the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, people gathered in the nearby BCCRS chapel. The Archbishop opened the 40 days’ prayer by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and benediction.
