“FOUNDATION STONE LAYING CEREMONY AT NAGARBHAVI”

On Sunday, 11th March 2018, at 9.30 am,  a formal Ceremony was held to lay the Foundation Stone prior to the construction of the  New Church called St.Joseph Vaz Church, Nagarbhavi 1^st Block, 2^nd Stage, Bangalore -560072.  The Function was presided over by the Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore along with the Rev. Fr. Pradeep Kumar Z – Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church, Moodalyaplay, Bangalore and was conducted in the presence of Distinguished leaders of the Bangalore district. Hon’ble MLA. Mr.Munirathna – Rajarajeshwarinagar and Mr. Mohan Kumar – BBMP President, Kottigepalya, Bangalore- 560 073  and Mr. Amaranath – RUCC Member, Railway Ministry – Govt. Of India, along with the 200 christian devotees in and around the Jurisdiction.

 Prior to the Stage function, the actual laying of the Foundation Stone was done in a solemn manner, starting with Prayers by our Archbishop Dr.Bernard Moras invoking God’s Blessings on the proposed Venture.

 Hon’ble MLA. Mr.Munirathna-  promised to release a possible amount as a grant towards the construction of the New Church & School at Nagarbhavi. Other honourable Guests too spoke lauding the service rendered by the  Christian Missionaries had toiled under stressful conditions to improve the conditions of the people of the region by establishing not only Schools but also other Institutions such as Hospitals, Orphanages etc. All of them promised their whole-hearted support to the diocese in their vision to improve the infra-structure of the Church.

 The whole function was organised by Rev.Fr.Pradeep Kumar Z- Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church – Moodalpalya Church along with Parish Council and Other Committee Members of the Church.
