750 Legionaries gather for State-meet in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, October 29: An impressive gathering of 750 members representing various regions across Karnataka State gathered at St. Francis Xaviers’ Cathedral in Bengaluru, October 29th at 10 am for an inaugural mass presided over by Archbishop Bernard Moras. The Archbishop in his homily while congratulating the members of ‘The Legion of Mary’ for spreading devotion to Our Blessed Mother said “Since Jesus is Mercy, Mary is the mother or mercy and so as devotees of our Blessed Mother and specially members of the Legion of Mary, you have a greater role to play in becoming torchbearers of ‘mercy’ wherever you are and in whatever you do”.
On the occasion, Fr. A S Anthonyswamy, Parish Priest of the Cathedral and Chancellor of the Archdiocese felicitated the Archbishop on completion of his 75th Birthday, spelling out his many achievements and developments he brought to the Archdiocese. Vicar General Rev. Msgr. S. Jayanathan, Secretary of the CCBI commission for the Family Fr. Arulraj and Archbishop Secretary Fr. Paneer Selva Kumar were present on the occasion.
