Archbishop Bernard Moras Blesses the foundation Stone at St Anne’s Church Maruthahalli

Bangaluru July 26: St Anne’s Church at Marathahalli was established in the year 1984. At present Catechumenate Community Priests cater to the Spiritual needs of the faithful. The existing Church was demolished, in the month of January 2015, during the tenure of Fr Robert Antony, due to its weak condition,
insufficiency of place and increased Catholic families. Therefore, the Parish Clergy and the parishioners sought the permission of the Archbishop to construct the new Church at the same place. It was all the blessings of God, on the feast day of St. Joachim and St Anne, Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras blessed the foundation stone for the construction of the new Church at 7:00 pm. The prelate while addressing the parishioners said, “The Bible says, there is a time for everything and this day is appointed by the Lord for the greater glory of God”. The Archbishop continued by saying, the new Church will be constructed according to the rules and regulations lay down by the Archdiocese of Bangalore. Further, he called upon the parishioners to continue to pray and to contribute generously for the successful completion of the new Church. The blessing ended with the vote of thanks and felicitation to the Archbishop by Rev Fr Rony Joseph Cutinho, the Parish priest of St. Anne’s church, Marathahalli.
