53rd Anniversary of Alcohol Anonymous Meet

Bangalore 27th August 2017: The 53rd Anniversary of Alcohol Anonymous Meet was held in St Joseph’s High school, Museum road. There were two hundred participants from different AA centerswho took part in this gathering.Archbishop Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras was the Chief Guest.

The function started with the serenity prayer by 10 am. There was an animated video based on the history of AA since 1935, narrating the journey to the audience. The highlight of the program was a few members shared the experiences, strength and hope that they had received from AA centers.As part of the program some of the AA Topics werealso discussed focusing ontraditions and principles of AA. Kathak dance was performed as partof entertaining the audience. Dr. S.T. Ramesh, DGP & IG Karnataka police (Retd.) the Chairman of General Service Board AA India addressed the gathering on the topic, “Friend of Alcoholics Anonymous”. The Archbishop Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras in his address said, “Alcoholism is disease and the supported groups have to help to face this challenge. Further  he said, not condemn those who have been addicted to Alcohol instead help them through prayers and moral support. The program ended up with vote of thanks by KAC1 Chairman and the Serenity prayer.
