Archbishop Most. Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras Celebrates Marriage Mass at St. Mary’s Basilica

3^rd September 2017: Most Rev Dr. Bernard Moras the Archbishop of Bangalore, administered the Sacrament of Marriage for 15 couples at St. Mary’s Basilica, Shivajinagar.  The Holy Mass was celebrated in the presence of 1000 devotees in both the languages, Kannada at 10:00 am and Tamil  at 11:30 am. The Parish Priest Rev Fr John Rose, Parish Clergy, Rev. Fr. Robin Kennedy and Rev. Fr Panneer Selva Kumar the Secretary to the Archbishop, con-celebrated at this Eucharist.

Though the married couples were mostly from poor family background, yet they had great devotion and Faith in Our Lady of Good Health. A few of them expressed that they were waiting eagerly for this sacred day since from many years.  The special blessing of the Archbishop added more colour to the celebration.

Rev Fr Robin Kennedy preached homily in Kannada. He said to the couples, “Make God as the centre of your families and love each other to establish Holy Family”.  The preacher in Tamil Mass addressed the newly married by saying, “It is because of the plan of God all marriages are united. So unite yourselves with the Creator for pesceful life”.

The Marriage Mass was concluded with a felicitation to the Archbishop Most Rev Dr Bernard Moras by the Parish Priest Rev Fr John Rose. The Archbishop congratulating the Married couples told them that to keep up the marital promises. He further added that keeping up the marital promises is possible only by being faithful to God and each other.
