Archbishop Most Rev Dr Bernard Moras Celebrated Memorial Holy Mass for the Soul of Rev Fr. Ambrose Pinto

12 February 2018: St Aloysius Digree College situated at Coxtown organized a memorial Holy Mass in the college chapel at 9:30 am, for Rev Fr. Ambrose Pinto an educationist, a person of integrity, a social activist, a committed leader, the former principal, guide and mentor, who passed away on the 3rd January 2018, due to cancer. He was the Principal of St Aloysius College for about 4 years. During his tenure the college undertook a lot of activities and initiatives to improve the standard of education of the students. Fr. Vinoo Fabian, Fr Anthony Swamy, Fr Naveen Gladson, Fr Francis D’souza SJ and Fr Paneerselvam were also concelebrated at this Eucharist. The Eucharistic celebration began with the words “In Christ, we do not die. There is no separation. So just as Christ is alive, we too live.” Apart from the principal, staff and students of St. Aloysius Degree College, Fr. Patrick Pinto, sisters from the neighbouring convents and well-wishers who regularly attend mass in the chapel were also present. The college choir was well prepared for a harmonious rendition. It was indeed a solemn moment for everyone.

The Prelate in his homily said, “Six months Fr. Ambrose suffered from cancer but he never grumbled God, authorities, people and things. He accepted everything submitting into the will of God”. Further the Archbishop said that the Archdiocese of Bangalore remains great full for his wonderful services rendered to the Archdiocese.
